These young poets, the artistic advocates in a new Zimbabwe, traveled from different regions of Zimbabwe to participate in this ground-breaking event in Harare. Some came all the way from Zambia, Namibia and other countries in Southern Africa. The Festival ran from December 10 to 12.

Memory Chirere, English Lecturer at the Univeristy of Zimbabwe, was one of the presenters at the 2007 Zimbabwe Poetry Festival. Here he reads from his Shona collection Tudikidiki.
